Firstly. Please remember that there are NO CLASSES ON FRIDAY So please take a rest, study at home or in your office and we will see you all on Monday.

Now for the English language tip

Here’s what we learnt today in the Business Class level

Here are six simple ways of checking what someone has just said :-

1. I’m sorry. I missed that – could you say it again?
2. I’m sorry. I didn’t catch that – could you slow down a little?
3. I’m sorry. I don’t understand – could you explain what you mean?
4. I’m sorry. I’m not with you – could you go over that again?
5. I’m sorry. I don’t follow you. Could you run over that again?
5. I’m sorry. I Don’t quite see what you mean. Could you be a bit more specific?

Also, for all 송파 students in the Business classes – please check you email to make sure that you have received the audio files I sent yesterday, and please check that you can listen to them.

Finally, for a daily reading exercise, check out Seth Godin’s blog. His insights and views on business are truly amazing and quite often his blogs are short and easy to read. You will learn a lot of English and a lot about business.

Friday News Round Up

Welcome all, I hope your week has been a good one.

First up – We need your help. We are planning to upgrade the First Class Business website and we want you to help us plan it. What we want is for your ideas and to tell us what you want from your very own First Class Business website. Next week your teachers will be asking you for your ideas, so please start thinking this weekend and let us know your ideas.

Friday News Update

Great news just in! The First Class Business Podcast is now available on our BCM website. You can go straight to the podcast page (in our resources room) by clicking here If you have iTunes the file will open directly in your iTunes music player and then can be automatically uploaded to your iPod. For all other media players – you can download the files direct to your computer and put them on to your MP3 player

On the subjects of podcasts – I found a great business podcast called the Business English Podcast Click the link to listen to it. The website also has alot of information on business English.

Finally, for you weekend entertainment, and to bring a smile to your face, below is a little comedy video from another British comedy show. Enjoy

While teaching the Business Class level last night I mentioned that a great way to see some great presentations you can go to TED.COM. In particular I would suggest you watch the following presentations: Seth Godin, Tony Robbins and Sir Ken Robinson

Check out these pictures of the Airbus’s new A380 Super Jumbo – Singapore Airlines have taken delivery of their first A380. It looks fantastic!
